Bottom Line

As the name suggests, this three pearl hotel is decorated in an Art Deco style. Its location in the center of Rome puts it within a 20-minute walk of some of the city's most famous attractions, including theColosseum, the Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain, and its a short walk from the Termini railway station. Comfortable rooms have charming Art Deco decor and modern necessities, including flat-screen TVs and mini-fridges -- though Single Rooms are small and twin beds are pushed together to make a double bed. A free, but basic, breakfast buffet is served in Il Pavone, the on-site restaurant, which serves modern takes on traditional cuisine at lunch and dinner.

Best Western Hotel Artdeco

Hotel Class:Mid-Range

Scene

Mid-sized tourist hotel with Art Deco styling

Both the rooms and common areas at the Hotel Artdeco have an Art Deco theme. The small lobby has patterned marble floors, 1930s-style patterned chairs and sofas, and a stained-glass Tiffany window. There are a few plants and old furniture pieces along with brochures and newspapers for guests, most of whom are tourists. Though it's kept clean, there's some minor wear and tear in this older hotel.
