Great example from Baskonia - Alavés Group on how to use the preseason for deeper bonding with fans and partners!Many teams across different sports disciplines are still rather hesitant when it comes to detailled coverage of preseason games and rank tactical reasons to secretly test new formations etc. higher than commercial opportunities.However, the data from #Baskonia underlines the potential of making preseason games available to the fanbase via #streaming:a) fans do care about friendlies and there is a demand for (live-) coverage of such games. 13,5k unique viewers per game is roughly +50% compared to the avg. #Euroleague attendance of Baskonia last season.b) for friendlies no restrictions from leagues or federations apply regarding branding etc. Hence, clubs do have more freedom when designing #YouTube streams and can offer additional sponsorship packages and/or can increase the reach & value of existing partnerships.c) With publishing the relevant KPIs Baskonia enhances transparency, which clubs tend to lack often times and which is widely appreciated by both fans and sponsors.
